Horseplay Car Giveaway

May 8, 2026, – October 10, 2026

Promotion Date & Time:

Beginning May 8, 2026, and continuing every Friday & Saturday during Live Racing.

Ending on Saturday, October 10, 2026. (Vernon’s Grand Prize Vehicle Giveaway.)

Participation Method:

Guests 18 years and older may purchase rubber horses every Friday and Saturday, during live racing, at the track beginning on Friday, May 8, 2026, for $1.00 each. Following Race 5 and after warmups for Race 6 on promotion days, participating guests will be asked to throw their horses into the 3 buckets attached to the starter truck as it makes its way in front of the track apron. All horses that make it into the buckets will be eligible for that evening’s four prizes and four qualifier spots for the final car giveaway on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Regular Promotion Details:

Upon purchasing rubber horses, participating guests will be assigned numbers that are preprinted on each horse they purchase to participate in the promotion. There will be no limit to the number of rubber horses a person may purchase each day.

On each promotional day following Race 5 and after warmups for Race 6, the starter’s truck will drive around the track (in front of the track apron) with 3 buckets attached on it, all participating guests that purchased a rubber horse that evening will be asked to throw their horses and attempt to land them inside any of the buckets. Once the vehicle has completed its drive, any horses that did not make it into the bucket will be collected and used for future promotional days. The buckets with all the horses that were thrown into them will be brought to the Promotions Desk. From the rubber horses that successfully landed in the buckets, four winners will be drawn. Each horse will then be verified against the log outlining who the participating guest was that purchased the horse. Guests may only win once per promotional day. Should there be a duplicate winner, another horse will be drawn, and this will occur until there are four individual winners on any given promotional day.

The four winners drawn each night will win a $30 racing voucher and a qualifier invitation for the grand prize vehicle giveaway on October 10, 2026.  Only the four winners chosen during each promotion night in the Horseplay Car Giveaway will be qualified for a chance to win the grand prize on October 10, 2026.

On Saturday, October 10, 2026, there will be one final qualifying drawing that will take place following Race 2. The same process outlined above will take place and those final four winners will all have an opportunity to win the grand prize vehicle.

Should there be any cancellation of race days due to inclement weather, lack of entries, or for any other reason, the promotion for that date may be moved to another race day or cancelled and not moved at management’s discretion.

Announcement of Winners/Prize Claim during regular promotion days:

Once the four individual winners have been determined from the rubber horses on a promotion night, the winners will be announced and will have five (5) minutes to report to the promotions desk to be verified and to receive their prize and qualification invitation to the grand prize vehicle giveaway on October 10, 2026. An acceptable form of valid ID is required to be verified, and completion of necessary winner’s paperwork is required to claim their prize. If any winner fails to report within the 5-minute timeframe or they cannot or refuse to provide valid identification, they will forfeit their prize, and another winner will be chosen in their place. Guests may only win once on each promotion day.

Grand Prize Drawing Specifics:

On October 10, 2026, all qualified winners from the previous promotional days must return to the Vernon Downs track to participate in the grand prize giveaway. Each qualified winner will receive one entry ticket for each drawing they won during the regular promotion. *Guests may only win once per promotional day but may win on separate promotional days thereby earning themselves more qualifying entries for the final grand prize drawing.

Qualified winners will have from 4pm until the conclusion of Race 4 on October 10, 2026to check in at the track Promotions Desk to claim and have their entry tickets entered into the drawing drum for the grand prize giveaway.  At the conclusion of Race 5, five winning tickets will be drawn. Guests that qualified for the grand prize drawing may only win one prize during the grand prize drawing. Should there be a duplicate winner drawn as part of the five winning tickets, another ticket will be drawn, and this will occur until there are five individual winners that have a chance to win the vehicle.  The five individual winners will then be announced and given five (5) minutes to report to the Promotions Desk with an acceptable form of valid identification to be verified. If any winner fails to report within the 5-minute timeframe or they cannot or refuse to provide valid identification, they will forfeit their opportunity to participate, and another winner will be chosen and announced until we have five individual, verified winners.

Once all five winners have been verified, they will participate in a lucky case game to determine their final prize. Four cases will have cash prize amounts of either $100, $200, $300, or $400 and one case will say CAR. In the order the winners were drawn, one at a time, they will select a case number which will be opened once all of the finalists have chosen a case.

The winner of the vehicle will be given information to set up an appointment with the dealership to complete and finalize any necessary paperwork associated with the vehicle. This appointment with the dealership must be made within 2 weeks of the October 10, 2026, drawing date.

Possession of the vehicle must be made within 4 weeks from the October 10, 2026, drawing date.

If the appointment and/or possession is not completed within these timeframe(s), the grand prize winner will forfeit the vehicle and another winner from the 4 remaining finalists will be drawn via the prize barrel.

Should the grand prize drawing be delayed due to track closure because of inclement weather, it will be moved to the next possible race day on the schedule, and an announcement will be posted on the Vernon Downs social media pages and website.

GENERAL PROMOTION RULES

• Must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
• Guests must abide by all rules to be eligible to participate.
• Excluded/evicted patrons cannot participate in promotions.
• Vernon Downs may disqualify any participant for any prize based upon fraud, dishonesty, violation of these official rules or other misconduct whether or not related to this promotion.

• It is the responsibility of each participant to be aware of announcements for the promotion.
• Prizes/entries are non-transferrable.
• Guests may only win once per promotion day. On October 10, 2026, guests may win once during the final qualifying drawings and then again during the grand prize drawing.
• There is no limit on the number of rubber horses that an individual can purchase on any given promotional day.
• Guests that qualified to be part of the grand prize giveaway throughout the course of this promotion must check in with the Promotions Desk during the prescribed times on October 10, 2026 to have their eligible entries entered into the grand prize drawing drum. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of opportunity to participate in the grand prize drawing. At no point may any qualifier winner assign or give another person their entries for the grand prize drawing.
• Must present a valid State/Federal valid photo identification before physical, monetary, or free play prize, award, or offer can be claimed.
• In all promotions, proper completion of the winner’s paperwork is required prior to the issuance of any prize.
• By participating in the promotion, each participant agrees to and acknowledges that they will abide by the official rules, regulations, and procedures of the promotion.

60-Second Wagering Spree

Participation Method:

Guests 18 years and older that are members of the Vernon Rewards Club will be permitted to participate once per promotional day, free of charge. Members must check in at the promotions desk (at the track) to be entered into the drawing. Upon checking in, an entry ticket will be printed from CMP (players tracking system). The ticket stub with the guest’s name and account number will be placed into a drawing drum for that day’s drawings and the guest will receive the other end of the ticket as verification it was printed and entered into the drawing.

Promotion Details:

On each promotional day, there will be two (2) winners chosen at the conclusion of Race 6 for a total of 2 winners per day. The winners will be betting on Race 7.

Winners will be drawn out of a drum immediately at the conclusion of the selected race. Once announced the winners for that drawing time will be given five (5) minutes to report to the promotions desk where they will be verified upon providing proper identification. Once the winners are verified, they will participate in the 60-Second Wagering Spree.

The wagering spree for each winner will be completed at a live teller with a member of Vernon Downs promotional staff keeping the time. The wagers will be placed for Race 7 (for the winners drawn after Race 6). Once the timekeeper tells the winner to begin wagering, the winner will call out individual exacta wagers, as many as they can in sixty (60) seconds. “Boxing,” “wheeling,” or “keying” will not be permitted. Wagers must be called out exactly as follows: TWO DOLLAR EXACTA 1-2, TWO DOLLAR EXACTA 1-3, TWO DOLLAR EXACTA 4-5, etc.

Once the sixty-seconds have expired, the total amount of  wagers placed will be documented for tax purposes and that will be the prize amount the winner has won for the drawing. All wagers/tickets will then be given to the winner and any prizes won from them are theirs to keep.

Announcement of Winners/Prize Claim:

Once the names for the drawing time have been announced, both winners will have five (5) minutes to report to the promotions desk to be verified. An acceptable form of valid ID is required. If any winner fails to report within the 5-minute timeframe or they cannot or refuse to provide valid identification, they will forfeit their opportunity to participate, and another winner will not be chosen in their place. $500 Handicapping Contest

Entries will be accepted until the start of the first contest race.

Participation Method:

Guests 18 years and older that are members of the Vernon Rewards Club will be permitted to participate once per promotional day, free of charge. Members must check in at the promotions desk (at the track) to receive their contest entry form.

Promotion Details:

On this promotion, there will be five specific Vernon Downs races from that day listed on the handicapping contest entry form. When each contest entry form is handed in it must have the participating guest’s name and Vernon Rewards account number listed. The guests participating will select a winning horse for each of the five races listed. Once the guest has completed their handicapping contest entry form, it must be turned into the promotions desk prior to the start of the first contest race listed on the form to be valid. Any contest entry forms received after the start of the first contest race will be deemed invalid and they will not be eligible for any prizes.

Participating guests will amass a mythical bankroll for each race based upon where their selected horse officially places in the race. Official race results will serve as the order of finish for each race. If the guest’s selected horse for a race finishes in first or second place, they will add to their bankroll based on official $2 win and $2 place payoffs. For example, if the guest’s selected horse wins a race and the WIN pays $8.00 and PLACE pays $3.60, the guest will add a total of $11.60 toward their bankroll. Payoffs will be capped at $42 for WIN and $22 for PLACE.

The three guests with the highest accumulated bankrolls at the conclusion of the five designated races for that day will win prizes (wagering vouchers) based upon which place they finish.

1^st Place = $200.00 Wagering Voucher

2^nd Place = $100.00 Wagering Voucher

3^rd Place = $50.00 Wagering Voucher

Total of $350.00 in Wagering Vouchers

In the event of a tie for first place, the contestant that selected the most first place finishers will be determined the winner. Should it remain a tie after this step, a coin-flip will take place. In the event of a tie for 2^nd and 3rd places, the prize money will be split for that place.

If the 1^st place winner has a perfect score (choosing all five race winners correctly without any scratches), they will win a $150 bonus wagering voucher. Should there be multiple 1^st place winners that have achieved this, the $150 bonus will be equally split among them. The maximum any prize winner may win is $350 in wagering vouchers.

Any participant that selects a horse that becomes scratched for a race will automatically receive the post time betting favorite as their selection for that specific race. To win the $150 perfect score bonus, a participant must have correctly selected the winners of all five races without any scratches.

All winners MUST be present to claim their prizes when announced.

Announcement of Winners/Prize Claim:

Immediately following the conclusion of the fifth race on the handicapping contest form, all places will be calculated to determine the winners. An announcement will be made at the track over the track PA system directing all the winners to the promotions counter to claim their prize. Once announced, the winners will have five (5) minutes to appear at the promotions counter with their valid form of identification to claim their prize. Any winner that does not claim or cannot produce the required valid form of identification within the 5-minute claiming time frame will forfeit their prize.

GENERAL PROMOTION RULES

• Must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
• Guests must be a member of the Vernon Rewards Club and abide by all club rules to be eligible to participate.
• Excluded/evicted patrons cannot participate in promotions.
• Vernon Downs may disqualify any participant for any prize based upon fraud, dishonesty, violation of these official rules or other misconduct related to this promotion.
• Must be present to collect prize/participate when name is announced.
• It is the responsibility of each participant to be aware of announcements for the promotion.
• Prizes are non-transferable.
• Wagering vouchers may be cashed in.
• Guests may only participate once per promotion day. Any attempt to participate more than once will result in disqualification from the promotion and possible disqualification from participating in future promotions during the season.
• To be eligible for the $150 perfect score bonus, a participant must have chosen all five race winners correctly without any scratches.
• Must present a valid State/Federal valid photo identification before physical, monetary, or free play prize, award, or offer can be claimed.
• By participating in the promotion, each participant agrees to and acknowledges that they will abide by the official rules, regulations, and procedures of the promotion.
• Taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner/participant.
• Each winner shall hold harmless Tioga Downs, Vernon Downs, and any affiliated company, the State of New York, and any agents, officers, employees against any damage, loss, claim, or liability arising from participation in this promotion.
• Each prize winner grants the right to use their name, city of residence, and photograph to publicize their winnings. Street address and phone numbers will not be released for publicity.
• Any valuation of the prize(s) stated awarded in this contest is based on available information provided to Tioga Downs/Vernon Downs from the provider, and the value of any prize awarded to a winner will be reported for tax purposes as required by law.
• Each winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes related to the prize(s) and paying any expenses associated with any prize which are not specifically provided for in the official rules. Each winner must provide the Company with valid identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any prize is awarded. Any person winning/receiving an amount over the IRS threshold in prizes from the Company will receive an appropriate IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.
• The following individuals are prohibited from participating in any Vernon Downs Racing promotion: Employees of Vernon or Tioga Downs or any member of their immediate family, Owners, Trainers and their agents who currently have horses racing at Vernon or Tioga Downs, Vernon or Tioga Downs agencies, Vendors/suppliers and their immediate family, Stable hands and backstretch workers of horses stabled and racing at Vernon or Tioga Downs.
• If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, weather or any other causes within or beyond the control of Vernon Downs, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this promotion – Vernon Downs reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the promotion.
• All aspects of this and any promotion, including guest participation, are valid only during the prescribed times of the promotion.
• Management reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, postpone, or modify the promotion without notice. When possible and at the discretion of management, a promotion may be rescheduled to a later date due to cancellation of races or in the event of an unforeseen circumstance.
• In the event of a dispute, management decisions will be final.
